Write to your local members to protect coasts by scrapping the Validation Bill
The state government is attempting to fast-track a bill through parliament that would suspend the Coastal Policy for past proposals back to 2003(!) including the contested pilitika/Robbins Island wind farm, interrupting the Supreme Court appeal against it. What’s more, there will be further changes proposed to the Coastal Policy which will likely favour private developers over nature and the community.
Write to your local member to protect Tasmania's natural coastlines by voting against these changes and leaving the state Coastal Policy as it is.
