The EPBC Act is currently being reformed for the first time since its inception in 1999. This is a once in a generation opportunity to get things right for nature. We need to put pressure on the Federal Government to reform the EPBC Act without further delay.
In Tasmania, we are blessed with a beautiful, untamed and unique environment but we have a great number of species threatened with extinction. The EPBC Act has failed to adequately protect these species and the places they call home. An urgent reform of our national nature law is required to help protect our iconic species from harm.
