Write to Minister Palmer for our oceans now!

Tasmania's remarkable oceans rival global icons like the Great Barrier Reef with incredibly high diversity of species and ecosystems. An unusually high number of unique species live here, many of which are threatened, like the Spotted handfish and the Maugean skate which has been around since the dinosaurs.

Unfortunately Tasmania is on the front edge of climate warming, salmon farms are expanding, fishing isn't as good as it used to be and only 1% of Tasmania's waters are fully protected in Marine Parks.

Right now we have an opportunity. The Living Marine Resources Management Act 1995 is being reviewed for the first time in a generation!

Please take a minute to write to Tasmanian Minister Jo Palmer now and call for a Marine Plan for Tasmania and marine law reform.
