1. Join Your local Climate Action Group and a local campaign
In Hobart join Climate Action Hobart (CAH). CAH is a volunteer, grassroots climate action group formed to promote community involvement in achieving strong climate policy and action in Tasmania. They meet every 2nd Tuesday, from 5.30pm at the Community Meeting Room (in Sustainable Living Tasmania) Level 1, 71 Murray St, Hobart. All are welcome! http://www.climateactionhobart.org/Home
If you don’t have a climate action group you can start your own. Contact us and we’ll help you get started.
2. Support the forest agreement and help protect Tasmania’s native forests
The Climate Commissions report ‘A critical decade’ has identified protecting forests from logging as the most important land-based climate solution. Click here to take action to protect Tasmania’s Forests.
3. Write to, email or phone your local, state and federal government members
Tell them you are concerned about climate change and that you want them to take serious action. Follow these links to find their contact details:
