Over the month of May, ET supported Climate Action Hobart and GetUp! organise a Climate Action Rally as a part of a series of Australia-wide events organised by the Say Yes Australia Coalition.

The rally held on World Environment Day was attended by 5000 Tasmanians and was an opportunity us to tell the Government that we want serious Climate Action including a price on carbon, 100% clean and renewable energy and complimentary measures.

ET supported the rally though providing workspace and resources at 100 Elizabeth St. Rally coordinator Hannah Aulby and the Climate Action Hobart volunteers created a hive of activity in the ET office and it was great to see ET staff and ET members working along side and supporting each other.

Hopefully this along with all the other rallies across the country, that saw 45,000 people take to the streets yesterday, will send a clear message to government that Australians want real action on Climate Change!
