    The climate change policies of Tasmanian political parties were open to public scrutiny last night at the ‘Vote for a Safe Climate’ forum hosted by Climate Action Hobart (CAH) and Environment Tasmania (ET).

The policy coordinator will provide a broad role in the coordination of the development, implementation and advocacy of Environment Tasmania’s policies on environmental and conservation issues.

  • FIAT Campaign to hide native forest wood-chipping 25/2/2010

    The Forest Industries Association of Tasmania campaign launched today is designed to block Tasmanians’ desire for protection of Tasmania’s native forests (as evidenced by recent opinion polls*) by hiding the truth about native forest logging and export wood-chipping, said Environment Tasmania today.

  • Toxins finding demands leaders debate on forest regulation 20/02/2010

    News revealed today that forestry toxins are contaminating river and drinking water catchments in North-East Tasmania are more proof of politicians’ failure to properly regulate forestry, says Environment Tasmania.

    The conservation group said the revelations are worth a dedicated leaders’ debate in the election.
