We’re doing our bit. It’s time to make our government do theirs.
This year Environment Tasmania and the Tasmanian climate movement is bringing the Walk Against Warming 2010 to the people of Tasmania on Sunday 15th August.
We’re holding a Walk Against Warming to demand that government does its bit for climate change.
We’ll remind them that to secure our votes, they must ‘Walk with the People. Not the Big Polluters’.
This year’s Walk.
Hobart: Meet at the Parliament lawns at 12 midday
Launceston: Details to be announced
This year instead of organising one rally as in previous years, a diverse range of Walk against Warming events are on offer across Tasmania including letterboxing, walks and community gatherings.
We need your help.
Volunteers, activists and Tasmanian Climate Action and Environment Groups, as in other years, will be crucial to the success of the day.
We've already had people put up their hands in Launceston and Hobart to organise events.
We are looking for people who would like to help coordinate a rally or letterboxing, or organise another type of event in their local area.
Please contact Emma Anglesey at ET on 6224 6319 or at members@et.org.au if you are interested in taking action.
