Environment Tasmania, the Australian Conservation Foundation and the Wilderness Society today welcomed the release of the comprehensive verification report under the Tasmanian Forests Intergovernmental Agreement process.
The north east of Tasmania is home to some of the most beautiful places in the world, including the famous Bay of Fires. Yet for many years the north east has been overlooked as a region in need of protection, even though it is an area of exceptional biodiversity.
The North East Tasmania Land Trust (NETLT) has been set up to help remedy this situation. It is a not-for-profit community-based charity.
