How they operate:

The LEC is a not-for-profit, non-government organisation funded through membership fees and donations, government grants and augmented by some partnership programmes with industry. It has a voluntary Board of management, supported by a team of volunteers.

They are your representatives for environmental issues, taking up community concerns and providing support and/or assistance. We are committed to community education and information regarding all decisions that affect our environment.

Now, more than ever, your actions will help to determine the environment that we pass on to future generations.
